One thing they actual said to him was use Microsoft Flightsimulator for simulator training " He thought they were jokeing " they were not .As my friend has Really no computer suitable for such training I thought I would get a list of Software and Equipment he needs for such simulation traing if he goes that way.Priorty is Flight model engine realism /Panels /What is available /Freeware /Payware /Air New Zealand 737'sPlease list Best Acurate as possible Freeware first then paywareYour submissions appreciatedGreg Bishop

Well I know a 737 NG pilot in New Zealand, he says that the PMDG is accurate enough to train on, he also makes a goiude to use with the PMDG, take a look here http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=136&topic_id=57863&mesg_id=57863&page=. He has nothing whatsoever to do with PMDG and has never even tested for them so I believe this is 100% un biased and coming from a man who flys the same aircraft I think it speaks loads beyond what the average desktop guru pilot says.Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. Hi if you go to justflight.com you search for the Greatest Airliners 737-400. I do fly for Air new zealandand have flowen the 737-300 and they are the same as the 737-400.Hope this helpsChris

Wilco publishing are working on a 737 which I will be sure to pick up on it's release. http://www.wilcopub.com/ . I do think its a shame that there dont seem to be any 737-400s out there as freeware though (please correct me!). the MS Aircraft is in my opinion a bit of a nightmare but that particular aircraft is one of my favourites. As good as the PMDG 737NG its not the -400 and in no way am I crticising that great aircraft.Andrewhttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

but minus the LCDs the -400 is extremely similar to the NG models in terms of cockpit layout switches and systems.
