December 11, 201213 yr I have a problem. Occasionally my computer is either locking up of I get the blue screen of death. I've done some overclocking but with this latest problem, I have dialed the OC back to low levels without success. Is this a hard drive issue? My computer is: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3 Motherboard i5 2500K 3.3 GHz 6MB Cache LGA1155 95W EVGA GeForce GTX560Ti S/N 1210611561004897 Memory: G Skill Ripjaws Series F3-12 800 CL9D-8GBRL DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 1.5V FSP Aurum Pro Series Model# AU-850PRO Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
December 11, 201213 yr Whats the BSOD code? Error message? Does it come with a repaeting sound? Mehmet Yatan
December 12, 201213 yr Author Whats the BSOD code? Error message? Does it come with a repaeting sound? No repetitive beeping. Tonight I am poised to get the error code and it won't fail. I've backed up what I need to back up. Go figure. When you are ready for it to do it's thing, it won't. I am persistant. When this happens again, I WILL get the details. Stay tuned. December 13, 201213 yr Author You may have a crash log at C:/Windows/minidump I found the directory but notepad displays characters I can't read. Is there a converter? File names of the last several dumps are: 121112-47658-01 121112-47361-01 121012-48235-01 121012-45037-01 120812-48703-01 Does this help? Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
December 13, 201213 yr Author Blue Screen View Wouldn't you know it. Camera standing by but last night it wouldn't do it. Thanks for sticking with me. It should crash this weekend since I will be on the computer more. Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
December 13, 201213 yr Eliminate the HD (and the OS) , and test the RAM with a stand alone memory tester, ie memtest86+ http://www.memtest.org/ Check CPU and Graphics GPU temperatures .. may be Overheating. ( Blow away any dust etc, collected on cooling Fins ) If all else fails, make sure nobody has installed the following PC game

I've run tests on temps while under loads I typically use. Good idea to run the memory test. I'll report back. Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)

December 14, 201213 yr http://s449.beta.pho...847394600425731 why didn't you just run the minidumps through Blue Screen View man? anyway, that's a hardware error. Could be anything really. When you say "I have dialed the OC back to low levels" does that mean stock clocks or no OC at all?
