FSX keyboard and Mouse

Featured Replies

Next week I am receiving a new PC in order that I can play FSX as it should be seen.

I therefore need to buy a new keyboard and mouse and I am wondering whether any one could recommend anything that they feel is suitable to use with FSX.

I have PMDG 737 with FS2 Crew and therefore I do programme certain keys for this add on.

There are loads a keyboards out there in the market place but I often find that it is better to buy based on recommendation.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Any ol' keyboard and mouse would be fine for FSX, since it doesn't require quick, precise mouse movements or anything like that.

I do recommend that you get something wireless. It makes life a lot easier.

Many thanks.

Having a numeric keypad is convenient, and most full-sized keyboards should have them.

I used to use a Logitech K750 solar keyboard and a Logitech Performance MX mouse, but both of these expensive products have since stopped working properly. I now use my Logitech K800 for both computers. On weekends when I am on the "gaming" computer, I remove the wireless receptor from the laptop and plug it into the desktop. The K800 is very ergonomic and quite precise. I do not use keyboard illumination, so the battery lasts several months without charging.

Any decent mouse should do. A laser mouse or a mouse with special tracking is useful if you do not wish to buy a mousepad. High-quality mice are favorable due to their reliability over time. I thought my Logitech mouse was high quality (one of the most expensive), but it eventually started double clicking, and I have since read that many Logitech mice experience this issue.

Hi Owen,

Many thanks for your advice.
