737 NGX FMC erratic z time

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

Went on to PMDG 737 ngx few weeks ago.

Very pleased by the overall behavior of this airplane, just two concerns experienced :

-During FMC setup, z time entered which becomes erratic upon completion and engines start up process, either wrong fixed time and/or flickering at 3 different values resulting in unreliable ETA at each waypoint displayed on the ND.

- In spite of top components on my computer, all flights beyond 4 hrs are subject to fatal error of FSX after runway vacating as you go to other panel (s) to set landing lights, APU start, strobe lights, etc. and as per FCOM requirements.

Keeping usual VC up to the gate becomes trouble free.

Appreciate your comments on these 2 issues.

Kind regards,

Jacques

Hi! Erratic z time it's a known issue I believe, search the forums, if I'm not mistaken is related to some not updated versions (maybe)

The rest sounds like an OOM issue to me

Hope it helps

Hi Matteo,

Thanks for your inputs.

First of all, can you tell me what OOM stands for.

Then, I'll look deeper in the forum for the Z time.

This OOM, as you call this failure, is specific to 737, no trouble at all when flying the MD11 even on long haul flights.

Regards to all.

Jacques

OOM = out of memory
