December 13, 201213 yr http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTI1MDA Will update later today.
December 13, 201213 yr I assume you know this release is for Linux. The next WHQL driver for Windows should be the 310.70. This info comes from a reliable NVIDIA´s guy. Look for the post 391. http://forums.guru3d...=371875&page=16 Best. Miquel.
December 13, 201213 yr Not really sure why it even matters for us FSX users to be honest. It's interesting to keep tabs on nonetheless and I guess maybe we all hope that we might see something improved from a new release but realistically probably none of the devs at Nvidia even know what FSX is anymore so any improvement would be sheer coincidence. I just hope they don't break anything.
December 13, 201213 yr Not really sure why it even matters for us FSX users to be honest. Perhaps I am missing something, but this thread is in the X-Plane forum... Why would you interpret the post as being directed to FSX users? (I'm not trying to be snarky, as I fly FSX and play with X-Plane as it slowly improves, but I'm just curious if you didn't realize what forum you were in at the time... no worries.)

I apologize. Was very tired last night and there have been a few threads posted about Nvidia drivers relating to FSX recently so I didn't check what forum I was in =(. Can't edit my post now but yea I can see why new drivers are an exciting event for Xplane users. Every bit of extra performance or improvement is a nice thing. Are Nvidia actively supporting Xplane as far as their drivers go??
December 14, 201213 yr Author Are Nvidia actively supporting Xplane as far as their drivers go?? Yes I believe so. Back around in 2007 I've reported a bug and they answered to be already working on that and would test later with X-Plane. Anyway Nvidia runs perfectly not only X-Plane, Steam etc., but also FSX/FS9 on Wine/Ubuntu is a good experience. Yesterday's update was as easy as exit X and run the installer.
