December 15, 201213 yr I know that there are so many of these topics out there about how to eliminate blurry ground textures from FSX however I have tried near on everything i can to try and solve this problem. Please see my sig for specs. Within the last few days i have this issue where my ground textures (GEX and UTX) will just become blurry almost as soon as i take off. They do not make or seem to make any attempt to recover sharpness and will remain blurry. I have tried this in various locations around the globe with the same result. This issue was never happening to me beforehand and i cannot understand what could be wrong here. FTX england, airport sceneires etc are perfect, it is just the main ground textures elsewhere. Is there any chance i have some sort of malfuncationing hardware? Surely a 4.2Ghz CPU can render sharp ground textures 95% of the time. I tried rebuilding my FSX.CFG and i have the same issue. I tried re-installing GEX textures through their main interfaces and that didnt work. I have tried adding stuff to my FSX.CFG i never had like bufferpools tweak, jobscheduler etc but made no difference. Texture bandwith mult is anything from 80-120, which made no difference. I have setup nvidia inspector and FSX and inspector is tweaked as per NickN's guide. A few things yet to do, defrag (i doubt that will cure this) and reinstall FSX which is a last resort situation really. Does anybody have any ideas on what i could try or check to fix this issue? Thanks in advance
December 31, 201213 yr daveygurm10 have you managed to fix this issue yet? Im experiencing the same problem just as you have mentioned...and i use the same add-ons as you do(GEX, REX). I have tried disk defrag, change in FSX.cfg and nothing seems to work. The problem actually started once i did a full clean on my system...reinstalled windows ect and a fresh copy of fsx. The only change i made is install the latest version of REX(REX Essential Plus) therefore Im assuming it maybe due to this therefore im currently downloading REX Essential as I had misplaced my setup file to make sure if it is REX Essential Plus thats causing this issue. But if it isnt im not sure what it could be. Fresh installation of FSX would not work as I already tried that by doing a full format of windows and installing fsx. If you have found a solution appreciate if you could share with me Thanks Aaqib Afzal
