New mini ITX Build for X Plane 10. Opinions?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Having been away from flight sim for a bit im building a new computer and will be using X Plane 10 only. Do you think the following spec will run it good?

Intel i5 3570k (overclocked to as close to 5ghz as i can)

Gigabyte Z77N Mini ITX Motherboard

8GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 Ram 1600mhz (9/9/9/27)

AMD 2GB 7750 Graphics Card

120GB Hyper-X SSD Drive for Windows 8

120GB Hyper-X SSD Drive for Xplane 10

Bitfenix Prodigy Mini ITX Case

Bequiet 530w Modular PSU

23" Iilyama IPS Monitor

Im wanting it to run at close to max settings as possible

Cheers

Matt

Looks good except the PSU. I've never heard of that company. That doesn't mean they are bad though.

Can you fit another brand in like Corsair or Seasonic?

ive had one before and it was brilliant. Will i get max settings on xp10 with this do you think?

I don't use XP10 so I can't say. All I will say is that I had the demo of XP10 and with HDR and high cloud settings even my powerful system was brought to its knees. I've heard rumors they fixed the HDR now it works much better.
