Winds Aloft Data - Legs Page

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I noticed last night that the Legs Page>Route Data stopped accepting any further winds aloft data entries after about the half-way point of the trip.

ie: I was able to enter winds data for each waypoint for the 1st half of the trip. The data fields for the remaining waypoints were ruled out on the CDU preventing me from entering all the rest?

At first, I thought perhaps the data fields would become available as the journey progressed, but they didn't. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks & rgds,

Steve

Hm, strange, but it is normal that the fixes after T/D is uneditable. Could it be that simple?

A bit OT: I tend to use winds data for the arriving apt in for example FL240, FL120 and FL060/6000 on the section below.

Regarding the CRZ wpts, one rw pilot told me that they usually entered the winds and directions if the prediction are varying 10 or more in degrees or strength, if not they did not bother.
