FSrecorder and ifly

Featured Replies

I've Emailed and posted on the forums but no replies, please help I'll post my Question again.

is there Something special I have to do to make FSrecorder work with ifly, Because when I Tried it, Some of the switches didn't get switched on and the APU did not start which so he FO side of the PFD was blank The engine started but the switch down by throttle quadrant Did not move to Idle detent. Also the throttles did not powered up and the aircraft accelerate with the throttle's at idol And became airborn with the throttles at idle, Am I missing something? these videos show what im talking about. i pressed play after i finished my shutdown checklist.

Also on The settings page where you select what to record There is no box to check and uncheck next to all the different options, Just a Un-clickable dot. I'll try to get some screenshots.

No help?

This is a common issue with aircraft addons with complex systems. Mainly because they don't rely on the standard FSX controls that FS-Recorder expects. In these cases you have to fudge it a little, to do a video. Basically you need to set up the aircraft for flight (Including starting engines) before playback. In FSRecorder disable playback of the animation you are having problems with mainly Spoilers, Engines/throttles. (Playback of the engines is probably causing your sound issue). Then playback, you should now have complete control of the systems you disabled for playback. You now have to engage those flight controls at the appropriate point in the playback. For instance for takeoff, advance thrust on it's takeoff roll, for landing arm your speedbrake as usual on touchdown idle thrust, and engage thrust reversers. I use the NGX now, but I did do one video with the IFly 737, this was the result. Note Real time cockpit video is up front the replays start at time stamp 40:45!

Thanks

Yes, but unavoidable. Instant replay would have the same issue. There is one way you could do it, where FS-Recorder would work, which I sometimes do. FS-Recorder allows you to use any aircraft model you want for replays. So you can say substitute the IFly 737 with a similar detailed yet non complex external models, like say a Posky 737-800 for the IFly, or a Project AI A320 for a Wilco A320. You would leave the playback options on and FS-Recorder should play them back normally since it doesn't have to fight with the 3PD's systems for control. Just a thought. Of course this doesn't work with VC views, which is why I do them real time, but it works great for externals. Also since it would be a non complex model, performance would be better on the replays, which is an extra side benefit!!

Thanks
