  1. Thank you for all your help, I ended up buying from Newegg. a little overkill but ultimately cheaper. I also got a second 2TB MVMe that ill install. Skytech Legacy Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz, NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super, 16GB GDDR6X,DLSS 3, AI Enhancement Ready, 360mm AIO, 2TB Gen4 SSD, 64GB DDR5 5600 RGB, 1000W GOLD ATX 3.0, Wi-Fi.
  2. thanks for the feedback, I've updated my build a bit, swapped out the PSU to the 850Watt EVGA SuperNOVA 80 Plus Gold, i also checked the ram and MB and they are EXPO rated and and the rams CL30 so I'm good there. one of the last thing I'm deciding on is one MVMe, or two, if i do one id probably go with the 2TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2280 NVME M.2 SSD, if i did two I'd do one 1TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2280 for the OS and sim and a second cheaper slower one for basic storage and stuff like navigraph etc. My current PC has 2.5 TBs of space, one 500 GB SSD that is my boot drive and misc stuff, its its got 170 GBs free, and two old mechanical 1 TB HDDs. One HDD holds MSFS and that's quite literally it HAS 700 GBs free, and the other holds misc flight sim stuff line navigraph, ACARS, and config apps like gsx, orbx, etc. along with steam, and some basic storage that has 775 GBs free.
  3. I'm in the process of looking for a new computer. I currently play MSFS at 1080p at medium settings and get 20-30 FPS, and 30 is pushing it lol. Although I'd likely to eventually upgrade to 1440p when it comes time to upgrade my monitor. I also typically live stream on Twitch while flying as some light video editing. A picture will be below but I went with the R7 7800X3D, I heard it was the best for MSFS in a few flight sim groups, and my budget was increased to accommodate the 4070 ti super as I heard that was better than the AMD GPUs for live streaming, 2x 16GB DDR5-6000 ADATA, 2x 1TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2280 NVME M.2 SSD, Enermax LIQMAX III ARGB 360 AIO, 750 Watt GAMDIAS Kratos M1 80+Bronze Current System: *Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI. *Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0Ghz 4.2Ghz turbo. *Memory: Vengeance DDR4 16GB (2x8) 3600Mhz. *Storage: 500GB Samsung 850Evo SSD & 2 Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM HDD Black Edition. *Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 FTW. *Cooling: Corsair Hydro H55 liquid cooler & 2 Aero Cool DS 120mm Black Cooling Fan. *Powerplant: Thermaltake Smart M750W

I for one would love to see the airport done, but I don't need the entire area redone, just some of the key features added for the visual approaches.
  5. So I'm trying to install my X52 pro flight stick and every time i run the driver installer and get to the point where it asks me to plug it in it doesn't recognize it and I can't click next. A few time I go it to recognize it and it freezes my pc and I have to shutdown my pc via the power button because even control alt delete doesn't work when it freezes, I have even waited about and hour before I shut it down. I m plugging it into a 2.0 sub instead of a 3.0 and I have tried every USB port and the same thing happens any ideas? Motherboard - Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI. Processor - Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0Ghz 4.2Ghz turbo. System memory - Vengeance DDR4 16GB (2x8) 3600Mhz. System type - 64-bit operating system. Storage: 500GB Samsung 850Evo SSD. 2 Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM HDD Black Edition. Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 Superclocked. Cooling: Corsair Hydro H55 liquid cooler. Aero Cool DS 120mm Black Cooling Fan. One other fan. Powerplant: Thermaltake Smart M750W
  6. so sorry i should have posted this in the hardware section. feel free to delete this.

  8. So basically if I replace the processor I'll have to replace the motherboard and ram to?
  9. Haha. Well that sounds nice.i will hopefully get this portion of my upgrade donesometime next year. Would I also have to get different ram or could I use the ones I have?
  10. So cpu a good CPUs will help me out a lot, you said the Intel Skylake system. 6700K, is a good choice?do you have any suggestion on a good motherboard? And yeah 600 US, but if I'll be that limited then I may have to spend more.
  11. So a that Intel processor would be the best option for the first stage of my upgrades? That probably you help the frames any but I'd be a good start? As for my budget it I'm still in the researching phase but trying to stay under 600 but I could stretch that a bit. Also if I got a new Intel processor would I have to get a new motherboard?
  12. Hi, my names Aaron, I've had my PC that I had frys built for about 2 years and lately I've been getting really bad frames, like 8-12, i figured it was time to upgrade something I was wandering what would be the the best component to upgrade to get better frames? Here's my current system. If you need more info on one of the components I can get you it. Motherboard----Asus M5A97 LE R2.0, Patriot Memory 16 GB 2x8GM DDR3, System type-----64-bit operating system, Processors----AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core black edition. Storage: WD Black Desktop Internal Hard Disk 1 TB. Graphics: Display adapter type----NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660, Total available graphics memory----4095 MB, Dedicated graphics memory----2048 MB, Dedicated system memory----0 MB, Shared system memory------2048 MB

I'd like to see Vatsim using it. But sadly that's probably not possible.
  14. He dose that when you have the wing and engine anti-ice selected in the briefing section.
  15. topcat and pfpx do more than what toper is capable of
  16. i just bought it and i can say it looks more professional, and it your use to AuraSim's performance calculator the you'll get the hang of it fast. however, you cant calculator landing ( that i can see) and it doesn't give you rwy margins so i cant measure if it accurate but dose give you a Select temp. you also cant change the Nav data. over all, it seems to be a good program and it has a lot of room to improve. overall its a ok alternative to topcat, as for me, i will keep using topcat and will use this if topcat dont work for me.
  17. I'd like to see the wind light go on at fl180 as well
  18. I'd like to see the landing light be turned on at FL180 instead of 10,000 or at lease a option to switch between them, it seem most U.S. airline turn most of the light on at 18,000. Also I know the ground friction isn't good, but I'd like to see single-engine taxis as well.
  19. I did a short single-engine taxi yesterday at Chicago, but I started it shortly after I got on the taxiway, ground just wanted to me to get moving so I decided to start the engine while moving instead of stopped on the taxiway. Also the air Canada q-300 do single engine taxis at PDX and I believe there Q-400 do the same although Canada's Q 400s don't come to PDX. QXE doesn't perform single inch and taxis their Q-400s
  20. So dose it matter that Department? I damaging the closest to suggestions would be product support.
  21. Would you really save fuel? Because you having to use more power to get rolling and maintain speed (but that might be fsx) to The point where taxting with one engine would equal the same amount of thrust as texting with two engines, So would you really save that much fuel?
  22. You can use FS2crew, but you'll have to start the second engine on your own. Also I've done one engine taxis befor if I know the taxi will take a while, also I don't find it hard to taxi, except when you need to turn in whatever direction the running engine is on, So if you have the number one engine running, it will be slightly harder to turn left and vice versa. I also tend to shut off one engine before entering the ramp area, Typically the number two engine seeming how the groundcrew connects the GPU on that side. I've also Heard that Southwest has recently gone to 1 engine and taxis, but that is unconfirmed, and I know United uses one engine taxis in there A320 and 319s sometimes, i've seen them having to wait about two minutes before taking off at the end of the runway at PDX (not sure if they use that same procedure for the 737s.
  23. As for wet and snowy runways, Siri it should increase the landing distance, i'm not sure if it is accurately simulated in the Sim. I usually choose to leave autobrake off and go for a light manual breaking and full reverse thrust in those conditions, but if you do use ABs, id probably be better to use 2 to prevent hydroplaning or sliding. Also the thing to know about reverse thrust is the slower you were going to less effective it will be. I usually have my reverse thrust down to idle by 80kts and also disengaged auto brakes 80kts and go for manual breaking.
  24. I use AB2 for any Rwy over 7500 and AB3 for anything under 7500. I use manuals braking instead of AB1, I rarely need to use max AB, even if I'm heavy, I reserve AB max for emergencys. Here are the deceleration rates for the Autobrakes, AB1 4 ft/sec AB2 5 ft/sec AB3 7 ft/sec ABmax 14 ft/sec above 80 knots, 12 under 80 knots. Also max Autobrake doesn't give you full braking, applying full manual braking will wive you the greatest deceleration rate. And I do not believe the default 737 doesn't accurately model the deceleration rates.
  25. Where do I submit a ticket to tell them my suggestions? I realize they they've probably already decided what to add but I'd still like to.
