What To Do About Missing Airport In FS9

Featured Replies

I am missing an airport in FS9 - TNCM in the Antilles. I installed "Islands of the West Indies, Vol. 3" which requires a recompile of "Ultimate Traffic." Upon recompile -during which UT collects a list of airports in FS9- I get a "missing airport" error message. Is there a way to add an airport (or at least the coordinates, so as to "fool" UT into believing it is actually there)?I haven't gotten this error message before - that is to say, up until installing Islands of the West Indies I was able to compile traffic without any problems. ricardo

If you start the flight simulator, select the destination airport, enter TNCM, do you get an airport listing. If so, then the problem may be in the ultimate traffic area. Can you decompile ultimate traffic with TTools and manually add the airport to the airports.txt file, then recompile with TTools. If you cannot get TNCM in the airport listing, the addon scenery may be excluding the default TNCM.Was the addon scenery made for FS2004 or FS2002?W. Ultimate Traffic comes with a utility to collect airports installed in FS. It's located in the main UT folder. Each time you run UT, the compiler creates new aircraft.txt and flightpln.txt files, and reads an existing airports.txt file. If you add any new airports, you have to run the collect airports utility to create a new airports.txt file.Bruce
