January 1, 201313 yr Hi Guys. I hope this question will not be classed as off-topic :-) My favorite a/c to fly are the heavies... PMDG B744 being my favorite. I like to simulate european cargo flights into EMA (East Midlands, my local) which are often done at night. My question.. Can anyone suggest the best settings in FSX that will give the best night flying experience graphically (I'm thinking of pin sharp lights on the runways etc.). As I fly on a laptop I am hoping this will also allow me to get some better frame rates. My confusion is what I can get away with graphically while still maintaining good night-time visuals, if that makes sense :-) I am hoping someone has tried this already before I start experimenting, saving me some time. Happy New Year to you all and MTIA for any replies. Mark Lindley
January 1, 201313 yr Hi Mark, I am personally a huge fan of ENB-Series Mod for FSX. It makes the day look more like a day and the night look more a night. Google it and you should be able to find it easily, it is free. If you want I can give you my ENB profile, but you can also fiddle arround with it yourselfe. At night ENB makes FSX look dark and in my opinion really makes the panel lightning and background lightning nessescary. Best regards, Jonathan John Rubens

November 23, 201312 yr To the Op: I'd put in for a transfer to the T7. Until the 777 was released I'd dread the winter season because of all of the darkness it brought -not anymore. I've probably logged more night hours with the 777 than I ever had in my years using the MD11. She really lights up the night, on the ground and in the air. Oh, and the REX runway lights look pretty good at night, too.
