Featured Replies

Hi I've just got a buttkicker for xmas and it works well , but what is missing is the sounds/feel of the nosewheel running over the centreline lights at speed, does anyone know of any fs9 freeware/payware that does this ?

Hello:

Probably your best prospect is Airport Enhancement Services (aka "AES") by Oliver Pabst c/o Aerosoft, which works in both FS9 and FSX:

I have previously read that this package plays its sounds via the Windows DirectX sound subsystem independent of FS.

IIRC, AES specifically produces sounds from the nosewheel rolling over the centerline lights at airports which have first been configured and/or "enhanced" to work with AES.

Perhaps the way AES plays those sounds via DirectX can be even more readily processed and controlled via the ButtKicker utility software than other "default" FS sounds routed via its own "sound properties sliders". :Nerd:

Hope this helps ! B)

Thanks for the reply. After posting yesterday I came across a payware utility by FSPS called Rwy Bumping Effect which does just as its name .I bought it, and with buttkicker it really gives a good thump in the seat plus sound.Unfortunately I'm having some issues with it at the moment which the very good support is trying to fix but it has great potential. If I can't fix the issues I'll maybe try AES.
