has anyone been able to configure this latest upgade of the free zonealarm firewall 51.11 to allow FS multiplay? It does allow fsrelay, but will not give me the link in the FS multiplay screen. If this does not work, I can always go back to the previous zone alarm I was using. And, on the subject of firewalls, what is your opinion of using zonealrm (free version) rather than the xp firewall? Thanks!This ought to spark some good discussion..Sherm

I stopped using zonealarm after 5+. It stopped so many programs from working it was a total disaster. I had been using ZA for years before.I now have every puter except my flightsim computer running Vcom system suite as a firewall which is a pretty good program. It still inteferes with Outlook a bit but is easily remedied by closing and re-opening outlook.For my FS9 computer I'm waiting until XP Service pack 2 comes out in a couple of days which will have a much enhanced version of the built in firewall.

arghh.. anything but zonealarm (too much of a hassle nowadays setting it up)..nor norton (freakin' vm hog) or the build in xp wall (do not trust m$ when it comes to security imo).. there are better alternatives out n about..do a googly search (or here).. vcom is indeed good...

thanks guys...just before checking email, I purged ZA and activated the XP firewall...using SP2 and everything seems fine. I was running the beta for the past few weeks without any probs. btw, I don't share your distrust of MS, but, to each his own. Again, thanks!Sherm
