Projector for 180º 5760x1080

Featured Replies

Quick and simple question: How much money would I need to spend to get my FSX running in the way title says, with a single projector?

I'm clueless about this kind of devices.

Thanks in advance.

Without doing the reseach, Javier - I don't think there's any projector out there which has a resolution of 5760 x 1080.

You might try the one of the widescreen forums on the net - here's one, but I do believe you will need three DVI connections - so that will likely mean you need two gpu's, such as a pair of 5xx-series Nvidia gpu's and three projectors that will handle 1920 x 1080, such as those here.

Sounds like a great project!

Yes Paul I know, I'm talking about a single 1920x1080 device projecting 3x screens (3x1920=5760).

What I'm looking for is to read some experiences from people who have dealt with something like this, mainly to see what projector do they suggest for the task, if the cheapest can still work or not.

Thank you.

I don't think there is a consumer projector available, that has that functionality, at least I haven't seen it listed in any that I looked at. I myself you a 720P projector to a 9 foot screen. It's great, even at that resolution. When you project to a screen that size resolution becomes a little less relevant.

Thanks

Tom
