Project Airbus Druk Air

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I have recently heard of Paro Intl. Airport and its cool procedures and terrain, so I thought it would be interesting to fly into there. I have been searching for this one for a long time. There was an iFDG A319 for Fs2004 which I converted to FSX format but was unable to merge a VC onto it. I tried to do a paint myself but I really have no personal experience on doing aircraft repaints. So it would be very kind of you to please do a paint on the "Project Airbus A319-115" in Drukair paint. (I don't mind if the registration is A5-RGF, A5-RGE, or A5-RGG) It does NOT have to contain a VC.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks Guy,

The Airbus you had in the first link was the one I downloaded and converted which was the IFDG A319. The second link says "no searches match your search criteria". If able, please respond. But anyways thank for responding!

????

First link is NOT IFDG but PROJECT AIRBUS !

Btw, There is nothing to transform for Fsx , you can use it as it is !

The second link (which is the same repaint) was effectively wrong, here it is again from flightsim:

http://www.flightsim...earchid=5103758

And it is easy ! :rolleyes:

Make a search for "Druk air project airbus" in avsim library for the first and Flightsim

library for the second !

Dear guy,

That repaint is for FS2004 and unusable even after I converted the textures from .bmp files to .dds files. Please Reply.

???????

Don't understand !

It works here ! (see picture below).

Only possible explanation I can imagine :

Your MODEL is NOT PROJECT AIRBUS (or at least not their CURRENT model).

The PA Airbus are basically made for Fs9 but work ALL in Fsx.

The fs9 repaints work also ALL in Fsx WITHOUT problems (i have PLENTY of them)

.And you can use the .bmp files . NO need to transform to .dds .

There are special Fsx MODEL files, but those are identical to the Fs9 ones except

that the model file is SPLIT in two to permit the use of a VC.

To be SURE to have the RIGHT Project Airbus MODEL,

I would recommend that you DOWNLOAD first one of the A319 aircrafts from Marco

Fischbach from the library (They are all VC-equipped and READY for use, for

example the Eurowings on page 1) and then COMPLETE with the Drukair repaint !

Here is the link to Fischbach's aircrafts in the Avsim library :

(search "marco fischbach project airbus")

http://library.avsim...=root&Go=Search

Good luck ! :rolleyes:

Dear guy,

After trying downloading the Eurowings PA A319 as you suggested, I tried putting in the texture.druk file into the aircraft folder and pasting the fltsim stuff in the aircraft.cfg. Only the Eurowings A319 appeared in the aircraft menu when I opened FSX. After checking out the Eurowings texture folder, I found out there was .dds files from the A321, so I copied that into texture.druk, but nothing showed up except from the Eurowings A319 when I opened up FSX again. Please Help, I cannot imagine what I've done wrong here. (I tried the same method on multiple PA Airbus but not working)

Hi,

I have seen that you are new to this forum.

Maybe you are also NEW to FLIGHTSIMming ?

The files of the default A321 are the textures of the VC which it uses.

The simplest way is to copy them as you did .

(another possibility is to use a texture.cfg with fallback's)

Here is a copy of the aircraft.cfg, to show how it must look :

[fltsim.0]

title=Airbus A319-100 Eurowings "D-AKNG"

sim=pa319-cfm56

model=

panel=

sound=

texture=eurowings

checklists=

description=Project Airbus A319 Eurowings

atc_id=D-AKNG

atc_airline=Eurowings

atc_flight_number=319

ui_manufacturer=Airbus

ui_variation=Eurowings

ui_type=A319-100

ui_createdby="Project Airbus"

visual_damage=1

atc_heavy=0

[fltsim.1]

title=Airbus A319-111 CFM Drukair

sim=pa319-cfm56

model=

panel=

sound=

texture=druk

checklists=

atc_id=A5-RGF

atc_airline=Drukair

atc_flight_number=319

ui_manufacturer=Airbus

ui_variation= Drukair

ui_type=A319-100

ui_createdby="Project Airbus"

visual_damage=1

atc_heavy=0

description=Drukair

The IMPORTANT thing is that the Name you give as texture file (texture=druk)

corresponds to the name of the texture folder (texture.druk).

I have added the "ui_createdby="Project Airbus" ". This permits a faster selection.

You can also add a picture as thumbnail.jpg to the texture.druk folder (for example

the one I attached above). This picture will then appear in the aircraft selection.

Good luck again ! :rolleyes:

Something that might help you, if you are new.

Here is a tutorial on how to add aircraft liveries in Fsx :

http://www.flightsim...rcraft-Liveries

Guy

For some unknown reason, the links from flightsim.com become INVALID after

some time ! (same thing happened with the link of the livery above)

So to have this tutorial :

GOOGLE: "flightsim.com how to...install fsx aircrafy liveries"

and then CLICK the corresponding link !

They have a whole series of INTERESTING tutorials overthere.
