FS 9 and change of video card

Featured Replies

Hi!

I am about to change and install a new/better video card in my PC.

So, my question is: do I need to uninstall and reinstall my FS9 so that it configures with

the new video card?

Grateful for help.

Thanks!

You shouldn't have to reinstall FS9. I just upgraded my video card from a 560Ti to a 660Ti and FS9 detected it no problem.

You may want to make sure that the new card shows up in the FS9 config file. If not, you many want to manually type it in the config file. Or check the video card in the Display setting page for FS9.

FS9 may also change the resolution when it detects the new card so you may have to adjust that in the Display settings page.

And thanks for your reply.

Yes, I'll do that.
