Help me to uninstall something please...

Hi captains,

I have been away from FSX for a while due to a lot of schoolwork. My SSD was getting full so I had to delete FSX also. I reinstalled it again recently and today I reached the point of reinstalling FS Recorder 2.1. Unfortunately I forgot to delete FS Recorder the last time I deleted FSX and it would refuse to uninstall after the deletion of FSX because it would come up with the error message saying: "FSX could not be found on your system, aborting installation wizard." So now when FSX was reinstalled I expected I would be able to uninstall it, but when trying to uninstall from Add/Remove programs it gave me some kind of error message about some kind of network error so I'm back to square one again. Then I searched on the internet on how to delete certain programs that would refuse to uninstall, via the Registry. I followed the steps and opened regedit.exe and went to /HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall. I saw quite a few folders with certain numbers and letter combinations and even when clicking on them I couldn't find the FSRecorder key, and yes I could see what files the key was associated with but nothing about FSRecorder was there. I searched the Registry, and no, same thing.

So currently I can't install nor uninstall FSRecorder on my system. I hope anybody could help me doing this with some steps and possibly via Teamviewer, thanks.

Wow, what a great program that is! Immediate success! I simply downloaded it, fired it up and it asked whether I had problems with Installing or Uninstalling, I selected Uninstalling and it gave me a list of most of the installed programs and luckily FSRecorder was in there, just selected it, it deleted it for me and now I could reinstall FSRecorder perfectly fine so thanks!

One thing though, I have this exact same problem with an Aerosoft Airport: Aerosoft Budapest. I select Remove in Add/Remove programs, the wizard opens and I follow the steps by clicking Next, then it just proceeds to the Finish tab and nothing has actually been deleted. Unfortunately, no Aerosoft Airports are in the list of the Microsoft Fix It program, but they are right there in Add/Remove programs. Any alternatives for this one?

Another recommended one is "Revo Uninstaller" - it's free with an option to buy the Pro version. After running the OS's uninstall through the Control Panel, it scans the registry for any related files left over, then gives one the opportunity to delete the entries. It then looks through the filesystem on the same basis. Great program!

What a coincidence! I just found that program like 10 minutes ago and succesfully uninstalled all invalid entries in Add/Remove programs, good program indeed!
