  1. You don't need any additional software to be able to use your mouse or joystick and get sound from both computers. The 'Client' computer has its own mouse and usually its own sound system. But if you want to have sound from the Client computer coming out of the Server sound system, simply run an audio cable from the Audio Out of the Client to the Audio In of the Server. This is great when you want sound from the Client to be recorded during the recording of videos on the flightsim computer, the Server. The previous post you make reference to might have been pointing to 'Multiplicity', a utility which allows the use of one mouse and the sharing of sound between computers. Nice but not necessary. Google it! JJ
  2. Video . . . hmmm . . . You're already running a networked setup. Why not download the free trial and install it on your client computer! Much better than a video. You won't regret it. I run my copy in a networked environment. No issues whatsoever. Cheers, JJ
  3. quote name="ryanbatcund" post="3459606" timestamp="1469850067"]The routing changes are because socal is so busy they use the TEC route system. The routes are almost always published and once you file that, you'll get that 99% of the time. PE tries to simulate the busy socal airspace so that's probably why you didn't get the route you wanted. I can understand the part about small area of coverage - but virtually every type of airspace is contained in ZLA (los angeles center) so if you're flying GA there's plenty of miles to explore. I agree though it is intended for RW pilots wanting to sharpen up their skills or new rw pilots who need more mic time. Still I've yet to find a more realistic service for the flightsim world. Pilot2atc v2 might be an interesting alternative. http://pilot2atc.com/V2Downloads JJ
  4. Yes, it is spectacular! Thanks for sharing. JJ
  5. Very much enjoyed both videos which are very informative. Thank you. JJ
  6. "And a real photo of Norway for comparison. I'll let the viewers decide if X-Plane depiction is underwhelming/woeful:" Murmur, Those shots of X-Plane's rendition are spectacular. Why such negativity about a simulator capable of delivering such a convincing environment to simulate flight! JJ
  7. Ha ha! Now I may win the lottery!
  8. I inadvertently pressed the green arrow below your post which changed the numeric box from 0 to 1. I'm sorry but I don't know the purpose of the numeric value. If it means something negative, please ignore. If it helps wining the lottery, then I hope you win JJ
  9. For ATC, check version 2 of Pilot2ATC. Free 10-day trial. http://pilot2atc.com/V2Downloads JJ
  10. Regarding X-Plane's camera system, it is reasonably good but if you want an advanced camera utility, check X-Camera available at https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/. The free version offers the user a good flavour of the utility's capabilities while the donation-ware version unlocks all the more advanced features. JJ
  11. That's also been my experience. Thank you Kat for the excellent service. JJ
  12. . . . and "hight" should read "height"! I hadn't taken all my pills when I wrote that this morning! JJ
  13. Ron, I had a Noctua NH D-14 which I replaced with a Corsair liquid cooler because I was restricted to using low-profile RAM. Check the hight clearance. JJ
  14. If you've already read the manual, you may want to re-read again. For example, numeric keys 1, 2, and 3 are reserved for specific functions, i.e., numeric key 1 accellerates movement forward, backwards, etc., number 2 activates and deactivates the save function, etc. As Philip has stated above, the 'C' (Cycle) turns cycling of cameras ON and OFF. Once you get your head around the functions, functionality is rather simple. JJ
  15. I fully endorse your statement about X-Plane and your snapshots are simply amazing. Thank you for sharing. JJ
  16. Dave, Your demonstration of 'smoothness' is amazing. I don't think filming your footage in real life would have been much different. Something to shoot for whenever I upgrade my system. Thanks for sharing. JJ
  17. +1, and that's true for 2 flightsim PCs and 2 family laptops. JJ
  18. Mitch, Very nice scenery, including the lovely sky rendition. Thanks for sharing, and yes, soul food for sure. JJ
  19. I've been having similar sound issues for some time now including a weird 'wind-like' sound just sitting at an airport with the engine(s) off. Yes, click a switch and other sounds fade and then slowly return to normal volume level. In my case, yes. For example when the wheels hit the pavement when landing which trigers the reading of an appropriate tire-screech sound file, the volume of the engine sound fades and then progressively returns to normal volume. I don't remember ever having such sound issues in the past but I can't put my finger on when it all started. JJ
  20. Excellent comment! Negativity surfaces too often here at Avsim. JJ
  21. Hi Elaine! Thanks, Have yourself a great night. JJ
  22. Hi Glenn, Thanks for the comparison. I've had Opus for several years now but EZdok offers me what I'm looking for as an aid in video making although I haven't made any videos for the past three years. Getting old, or lazy, or both! No doubt our videos will be helpful to users considering adopting one of the utilities. Regarding turbulence, ASN gives me what I want. JJ Thanks Maurice.
