January 18, 201313 yr Im confused as to why atc is assigning runways based off the static winds, which seem to be those of the departure airport. The winds are always correct while on approach and final but then I have planes taking off into my flightpath. Other than that this weather engine is the real deal. Thanks Les T. Arluster Turner III
January 19, 201313 yr If you are using the ATC within FSX, then you'll going to find all sorts of things wrong aside from your current problems. Take a look at PRO-ATC/X at http://www.pointsoftware.de. It costs a bit but these sorts of problems are being addressed by this excellent piece of software. Richard Richard Wolff
January 22, 201313 yr Commercial Member Hi Les It may help if you set your Recovery Altitude and even the Forced Recovery altitude higher so that OpusFSX recovers the true winds earlier, although you may suffer from wind shift problems if your system is suseptable to them. Give it a go and see if this in any better for you. The Recovery Altitude is where OpusFSX will try to recover true winds if they are FSX friendly, and the Forced Recovery altitude is where OpusFSX forces the recovery of true winds no matter what.
