January 18, 201313 yr Hello my name is Harry Grant I have been away from the Flight Simulator Community for some time now, but have recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX, I have a question about the Flightplan database that used to come with PMDG products, (I only remember this from owning the 747 Queen of the skies for FS9) there used to be a lot of flightplan files, but I don't see anything but one flightplan file with the 737, my question is where can I get flightplan files for my 737 fleet? Or do I have to create and Save them through the FMC in my 737 NGX?
January 19, 201313 yr You can create them in the FMC and save, you can get real life flight plans form websites like flightaware and copy them (and save) or you can make some in software like FSBuild or the upcoming PFPX. Jay Vorkapic
January 20, 201313 yr Welcome to AVSIM! Here are some instructions regarding determining routes and creating flight plans externally (in the form of company routes) for PMDG aircraft: Determine your route by searching a realistic database such as FlightAware or the Real-World Flight Plan Database. The latter requires a free registration, but is preferable due to its flexibility (you can personally request flight plans). Copy the route, preferably in the format WAYPOINT AIRWAY WAYPOINT . . . . Once you have determined your route, go to SimRoutes, click Generate Routes, and complete the fields appropriately. It is unnecessary to input SIDs and STARs, as they often vary depending on traffic and weather restrictions. Click Generate Route. Use the map to verify the accuracy of your route. From the drop-down list, select PMDG as your export format, and click Download Flightplan. Other fields on this page are optional. Copy the downloaded route, and move it to your FLIGHTPLANS folder, which should be in the PMDG directory of your FSX root folder. Enter the file name in the company routes field of your FMC when you wish to retrieve the flight plan. You can then select SIDs and STARs from the FMC to complete your route.
