August 18, 200421 yr I have to recommend Lonny Payne's (freeware) panel. I've been using it since FS2002. It's very functional for a freeware panel. As good as it is though, it's not in the class of the PMDG 737 (or similar product).
August 18, 200421 yr On the freeware side, I'll also recommend Lonny Payne's 757 panel. If you're using FS9, you may want to consider Jim Richard's 757 here in the library. It uses a lot of Lonny Payne's gauges, and has TCAS II also. I had a couple of bugs trying to use Lonny's panel in FS9 (hydraulid fuel leak, only 1 engine starting). I don't have them with Jim Richard's. Otherwise it looks and feels like Lonny's.
August 25, 200421 yr Author This is all one-way traffic, Lonny Payne's 757 panel is the best freeware package I've come across. It's a little tricky to load up as there are several updates to apply, but once done, there are no bugs as far as I'm aware. He has done some work to align his 2D panel with the Posky VC panel too, if you want to go that way.
August 25, 200421 yr >It's a little tricky to load up as there >are several updates to applyThat's not really true, right? Correct me if I'm wrong - I've been slowly reinstalling addons after a crash, and was just about to do this myself:First, download and install v1.1http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...2pan&DLID=25992Second, the POSKY update which includes the FS9 update.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...4pan&DLID=38889That's it!OR?Thanks,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
August 26, 200421 yr Author Yeah, you are right, an overstatement on my part, just meant that it starts with FS2002 panel and applies updates, there isn't one file with the complete thing in it, which could put some people off. Well worth the effort in the end!I'm one of those irritating so-and-sos who doesn't read the instructions and got into a bit of a mess at first! As it's been running perfectly I haven't touched it for a while, so if you say just the 2 files are required, I believe you. However, for completeness: his website is www.fs2002panels.netfirms.com and the relevant files at Avsim are:lp757v11.ziplp757u12.zip - version 1.2 updatelp757fs9_122437.zip - FS9 updatelp757pos.zip - Posky updateWhat I didn't realise until today is that there is also a file which updates the FMC data so the panel can be used with a 767....... Is there a good model out there? Maybe the IFDG one, which is the only one I can think of?
