Flight 1 aircraft issues

Featured Replies

So, after several years, I dusted off my old fs9 computer. The original PMDG 737 works great, along with my other add ons. Problem is, none of my flight 1 aircraft work! The only thing that's changed is I uninstalled the LDS 767 years ago and I'm wondering if uninstalling it also deleted some file needed by the other flight 1 aircraft. The DF 727 will not load at all and the super 80 loads but is dead, as in nothing works and none of the buttons work; therefore, I can't turn on the airplane. The ATR also will not load. Again, the non flight 1 airplanes work as they did several years ago.

I attempted to reinstall the LDS 767 through flight 1, but I no longer remember the email or payment method used during my purchase from years ago.

Hopefully, there is a missing file I can download to bring my DF 727 back to life.

Thanks in advance.

I have had this recently too!

Exactly the same circumstances..... they were installed and ran fine, and now (quite some time later), numerous attempts at re-installation results in the following;-

- LDS 767; no gauges loaded at all.

- Instant Scenery; does not appear in FSX menu

- F1 Mustang; missing gauges (no displays)

- Dreamfleet Dakota; missing gauges

........ I believe it is something to do with gauges and the registry. (just a guess).

I have been meaning to raise a ticket with F1 over this for months, and just never get around to it. I have tried multiple uninstalls of the products, and re-installs, but just like you, none of them work anymore, and it always seems gauge-related.

I tried reporting this on the LDS767 forum but to be honest did not really get anywhere and the problem was being seen simply as an incorrect installation, regarding UAC etc...... but that's not the case here.

I think somewhere on my system there are old registry files that are failing to initialize the gauges, on subsequent re-installs ...... (maybe a bit like how re-installs of FSX can result in multiple Simconnect files in the SYSTEM folder, which stops simconnect working?).

I hope you (we!) can find an answer for this.

Thanks and sorry at the same time! I was tempted to purchase the 727 again, but fear it still will not work, as its still I stalled on my computer. Didn't know if a fresh I stall would add whatever is missing and causing it to not work. Or, perhaps repurchasing the 767 would help, since uninstalling it seems to be the problem.

I'd be very careful about re-purchasing until you know it's going to work again.... I would raise a F1 ticket. They're really good, and should give you 1-2-1 support; perhaps they will help you locate some files stored deep in your PC that is causing the problem. I'll be raising the same ticket in the next day or two!

many of the flight1 aircraft have a specific license file installed (usually in two or three distinct places) in your main system directory. When these aren't present, various features don't work. Thus, using JUST the installer extracted from the Flight1 wrapper won't cut it on a new machine. You'll have to redownload the Flight1 wrapper and go through the whole annoying reinstall process with the key file and all that in order to create a new Flight1 license on your new machine.

I learned this after a close reading of the forums at Eaglesoft, which use this to secure their planes. For some inscrutable reason, Ground Environment also uses this. When I bought a new computer a year ago, my backed-up files wouldn't work until I reinstalled from the Flight1 wrapper.

Thank you, but this isn't a new machine. It's the same machine that ran everything great until I uninstalled the LDS 767. Nothing else has changed. Again...thanks

I do understand that this is the same machine, but the keys the Flight1 installers create are painfully specific to your particular system configuration. If, when you rebooted your old FS9 machine, you also updated the OS (like, say, getting an involuntary update from WinXP SP2 to WinXP SP3, or Win7 to Win7 SP1), replaced any hardware, or anything of that ilk, you may have to re-install. On my old machine (before this one), I updated the graphics card at one point and found (to my dismay), that my Eaglesoft and Dreamfleet planes didn't work! They required a reinstall - not from the unpacked installer, but from the Flight1 wrapper. (I then located the license files and attempted to use them on my new PC when I got it, but that didn't work either.)
