Hy everybody, i'm new to this forum, so please apologize me for errors (and also my bad english)

I would like to know if i can run FSX with the standard setting set to "Ultra High" at 20 fps and maximum resolution of 1680x1050?

My hardware configuration is this:

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo Quad Core Q6600 2.4 Ghz

Nvidia GTX 260 1GB

Ram 6 GB Dual Channell

Windows 7 64 bit

Thanks for the help

No way.

You have to test your settings yourself and adjust accordingly to get FPS where it is satisfying. Problem is, that FPS tend to vary alot according the location. For example, you may be able to use high settings in rural areas with small amount of autogen, but around large hubs with heavy AI traffic will lower your frames a lot. Also more complex addon aircraft tend to take away performance.

So, it all depends where you are going to fly and what sort of, if any, addon sceneries, aircraft, airports or weather systems and textures you are using. With almost highest or highest settings, heavy scenery addons and AI you can bring the most powerful rigs FPS to teens in areas like New York City.

But in general, your system is pretty low spec and you are probably struggling pretty often to maintain 20 FPS even with moderate settings depending on addons and location. You can gain considerably by overclocking your processor, but with many addons, your GPU is also going to be a problem with high settings.

And what if i do not use any addo or only the rex (real environment extreme)? I have tried now a flight from Kont to Ksan with all default setting set to Ultra High and i have not experienced any problem.

Nobody can answer me?

I think the Grunt did answer your question. I have a similar system as yours, see my profile. I have a better video card, but less RAM. I have also overclocked my CPU from 2.4 to 3.5 ghz which gave me a significant boost in performance. However I still cannot fly in major cities like Los Angeles basin, Seattle, New York city or Chicago with an Ultra high setting and get 20 fps. Over the ocean and empty desert areas, yes. I am building a new system to get better performance, but even then I do not expect to be able to use the ultra high setting over large cities.
