February 3, 201313 yr I am really glad to see tha Pmdg is still going at it and getting new aircraft out. The 777 thats in progress will be great since with the high quality detail, plus many other companys may make it but PMDG really gets medal for the aircraft they make. I wanted to ask will the new 777 have a better rnav or vnav on it?
February 3, 201313 yr The NGX's VNAV is a completely new version, I think only three airlines in the world actually use it. The 777 has the older version like you see in the 747, 767 - much nicer in my opinion. The 777 is more smooth than the 737, lets hope PMDG have put that across in their model! I'm assuming you're comparing it to the NGX, if you're not then what are you expecting the 777's VNAV to be ''better than''? - Luke Pabari
February 3, 201313 yr Just out of interest, what is the difference in the new VNAV on the NGX compared to the old? Joe Barton
February 3, 201313 yr Just out of interest, what is the difference in the new VNAV on the NGX compared to the old? Might be a reference to the ng using geometric decent. Between two altitude constraints, the 777 will descend at idle until then flies level. Where as the ng adds thrust to maintain a constant vertical speed between the constraints. I believe this is a customer option though. Jordan Forrest
