February 7, 201313 yr I have lots of addon and it started to confuse me. I know that I have to put airport then city then terrain scenery in order to look normal but I have Ultimate Terrain X and OrbX so everytime I activate OrbX products they appear in the top priority so do I have to move UTX place everytime? Also do I need to put UTX below all the city sceneries? Büke Yolaçan
February 7, 201313 yr Hello I’m not on my FSX PC now, but you can preset the ORBX scenery insertion point from the FTX central, doing so will prevent ORBX stuff to insert at the top of your scenery every time you switch regions. About UTX, I only have UTX Alaska and it sits bellow all ORBX stuff. There is a compatibility subforum over at ORBX that explains with much detail. Ultimate Terrain X USA/Canada and Ultimate Alaska X compatibility with FTX PNW, PFJ and NRM Cheers. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
February 7, 201313 yr Every time you add new scenery (except replacement textures like FScene) the new scenery is put at the top of the list. Producers do this so that their addon will not be screwed by other scenery thus avoiding complaints about bad soft ware, but nothing says that the new software will not screw something up addons listed further down....). The computer reads the list from the bottom up, so the top priority is given to the top of the list. So generally addon city scenery should be near the top, and airport scenery right at the top. The biggest problem is when there is interference because of some addon scenery previously added containing elements with the same names. For example, if you add a scenery for say Quebec, and later add a different and better scenery for Quebec, some elements from the new scenery may not show up until the old ones are removed - assuming you can find them. I just have spent two whole days trying to solve this problem when some addon scenery shows up on one of my computers but not all of it shows up on my other computer. Henri Henri Arsenault
