February 13, 201313 yr Thanks i have read the manuals and done the 2 PMDG tutorials. The manuals are reference material & I seriously doubt even the most dedicated pilot (whether RW or Sim) could ever expect to read/do verbatum from the 2500+ pp of NG Manuals ... best to have the relevant sections availalble as you try out a new procedure. Also nothing wrong with you moving them over to another device (laptop/PC or tablet) for ease of access ... then you can read & do in slow time to perfect your technique. Maybe I just need practice? This links together with what I am saying with regard to the reference materials...do you think a RW pilot can just step into a new type & spin the V/S wheel to perfect a Non-Precision Approach? He/she spends time with his/her head buried deep in the study material & then takes this into simulators before he/she is let loose on the real aircraft.
