February 11, 201313 yr These CPU's used to cost a $1000, but now here in the Netherlands plenty of shops sell them for only 250 euros ($300). This is absolutely rediculous, I never expected this. On Newegg surprisingly, they still cost over a $1000. Worth the upgrade? http://nl.hardware.info/productinfo/130955/intel-core-i7-3960x#tab:prijzen Arjen Vandervelde
February 12, 201313 yr Author Wow that's odd. checked again and all prices are back to 900 euros again. That awkward moment when you realise it was all to good to be true. Arjen Vandervelde
February 13, 201313 yr Maybe it was a system error - I learned that when you see something like this, you press BUY. The thing is: if you buy it for €250 and you have a confirmation email, they MUST sell you the product for €250. There are no excuses. My mate managed to stumble across a 52"TV+DVD 'deal' for £9.99 (clearly 2 zeros missing). He ordered one, got the confirmation and ordered a 2nd one for his mum. He got both TVs and DVD players delivered for less than £20 but the deal was corrected very quickly. Lucky man
February 13, 201313 yr I also see €900... Same thing happened to me. It was back in 2008 and I happen to come across the PS3 for sale for just £79.99! as the original price was around £279. I just couldn't believe my eyes as I got to the payment page and clicked "accept payment", I later got an email from amazon UK that they canceled my order. According to them it was a "technical glitch" There was a number '2' missing at the front. Lionel
