Can't start with 2D in Eyefinity.

Recommended Posts

I just got FS2Crew for the PMDG 737NGX and the first thing it says in the manual is to set up FSX to start in 2D Mode.

I can not do this because I am using Eyefinity Wide Screen and you get the JUMPING cursor problem in planes with a 2D Cockpit.

Does FS2Crew need to start in 2D??

If so...does anyone know how to get the PMDG to work with 2D Cockpits without getting the jumping cursor?

Hi Randy,

Try starting in the VC.

There's a good chance it'll work without generating the SDK error message.

But in a few cases some users had to start in the 2D otherwise they got the SDK message, so I decided to apply that recommendation to everyone, namely, load the 2D cockpit first before switching to the VC.

(You could also try starting in the 2D, and as soon as the 2D loads, just hit the 'A' key to switch to the VC.)

Cheers,

I received a fix for this problem from PMDG Support.

This fixes the flashing or jumping cursor problem when using a 2D panel for those of us using "Eyefinity", "Surround" or TripleHead2Go.

Included are PANEL files for the 737NGX,...747-400 and the MD11.

Here is a link to the files...BE SURE TO READ THE README.TXT FILE.

I assume it is ok with Avsim and PMDG to share these files...I guess we will see.

I hope this helps others with this issue.
