February 13, 201313 yr Hi i was wondering if anyone could help. When i change views in the ngx the screen flickers this only happens when i change views and with the screen refresh rate set at 1/2 in the nivida inspector. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this when i change the setting back to normal i get stutters. Any help would be much appreicated. Regards Chris
February 14, 201313 yr It is my understanding that the Vsync 1/2 refresh requires that you have your frame limiter set to exactly one half of your monitors refresh rate. My monitor is a 60hz, so I set my frame rate limiter to 30 and apply the vsync 1/2 refresh in the Nspector. Do you have yours set up this way? Chris Hicks

February 14, 201313 yr Not that I have noticed, but I've only been using this tweak for a few days. I looked on my flight last night and didn't notice the flicker, but I'm about to take another one under different conditions. I'll have another look. Chris Hicks
February 14, 201313 yr I have exactly the same problem as described here but in FS9. So it is not only the PMDG NGX but other aircraft also. The aircraft with the least flickering is the FS9 default Cessna. The flickering only occurs in the 2D panel (when switching view in the 2D panel or when going from external to 2D). No flickering at all when changing view in VC. It seems to be a short pause when changing view, like it is not responding instantly combined with flickering. I can also confirm that the problem is connected to the 1/2 refresh rate setting in NI. I have 30 FPS locked and 60 Hz refresh rate. Setting v-sync to FORCE ON results in no flickering but stutters instead. I didn't experience this before but ever since reinstalling my computer I have had it. My laptop works fine with no flickering at all.
