February 17, 201313 yr Hi I have a number of the FSD International FS9 Aircraft and all but one have no problems. The problem I have is with the Piper Cheyenne LS 400. I cannot get the engines to start. I should mention I have had this aircraft, I think nearly 4 years now and never had this trouble before. I have been in touch with FSD 3 or 4 times and they tell me to just follow the directions in the manual which I am doing but when I get to the point where I am ready to push the start button the generators do not come on so I go nowhere. the three gauges on the overhead panel register nothing they do not move. FSD said I would have to re install XP and FS9 and I did that and all was fine for one flight and then I was back to square one again. I then formatted my hard drive the carries XP and reinstalled XP and FS9 again and nothing had changed. I did this three times in a row and all that work never helped at all. Sorry about the ramble but I am wondering if anyone out there uses this aircraft and have had the same problem and can help me solve it. FSD say they can do nothing from their end to help. I sure hope someone knows haw to solve this issue please..............................John
February 17, 201313 yr Have you checked the maintenance section of the configuration utility? If no problems are showing, I don't know what could be wrong outside of a bad installation file.
February 17, 201313 yr I sure hope someone knows haw to solve this issue please..............................John Have you tried starting your flight from a default Cessna, then switching to your aircraft to reset the FS9 variables? BTW FSD telling you to reinstall WinXP and FS9 is really extreme and I can't imagine how reinstalling XP could or would solve anything! Have you changed the 'default' aircraft to something other than the Cessna? If you have, then I would suggest changing it back. Most complex aircraft depend on the stored FS9 variables to be default when they start. If you have something else as the default aircraft then those variables are loaded when FS9 starts instead of the defaults, which can interfere with other aircraft start up settings. Regards, Mel
February 18, 201313 yr Author Thanks for your replies guys. My default flight is still the Cessna 172 but starting from CYYZ Toronto which is what it's always been for me anyway and also there are no maintenence problems either. Thanks again for trying to help. One of these days i will get it sorted I guess.............John
