Saitek throttle on client pc

Featured Replies

I'm expecting my Saitek throttle to arrive soon, and was wondering if it is possible to use it through the client pc, perhaps utilizing fsuipc?

I dont anticipate any problems connecting it to my main FSX pc, but it's a laptop and I like to keep as much as I can relegated to the client PC.

Am now running FSWidgets' EFB and squawkbox on the client, so I have lots of resources left.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

JW

A Saitek throttle takes away nothing from FSX, so realistically, you would be far better to just plug in the throttle direct to the FSX machine.

You can set it up using FSUIPC if you want, and if you know how to use FSUIPC, but it might not be worth the hassle, unless you have lots of hardware setup with FSUIPC already.

Your running FSX on a laptop, and the other apps on a PC? I assume the laptop is far more powerful than the PC then?

Thanks, and yes, the main PC is a laptop. I get pretty decent frames, but it is beginning to show some strain as I throw add=ons into the mix. As a matter of fact, was going tomorrow to see about putting together a desktop upgrade.

I didn't think it put much of a strain, but with four GoFLight modules, a CH products yoke, a cable to a larger monitor, a wireless mouse and a sound cable plugged into it, the laptop is beginning to resemble a Borg with all the wires running to it.
