February 19, 201313 yr Hello, Guys! I'm tired to see that Flight Simulator X always stuck in Windows 8. This is quite bad that Microsoft that they are unable to fix the bugs of Windows 8. Same FSX drive very well on Windows 7 but not on Windows 8. I changed the FSX's compatibility to Windows 7 but FSX still doing same thing. I don't know why? What compatibility mean? Is that mean, if you change software Compatibly to any other Windows then that software will run in that Windows. But it doesn't happen for me. If any one see my error then tell me how to change FSX's compatibility to Windows 7 in Windows 8. If you know any other solution, then please tell me. I don't want to remove Windows 8. Regards,
February 19, 201313 yr Hi, AP! It might be helpful to tell us what the exact error message is. Is it just that it "does not respond"? If so, you'll just have to be patient, usually it responds again, if you give FSX some time. I get that error sometimes, too, especially when I click on the startup splash screen by error. Flo Hello, Flo! It's not as you are saying. It doesn't give any error message but it doesn't drive softly, or plain. It just stuck in whole flight. Stuck, Resume! Stuck, Resume! Stuck, Resume! Stuck, Resume! happens just in milliseconds. Not even in second. But my FSX doesn't stop responding. Thanks for your reply. Regards,
February 19, 201313 yr OK, I understand. Do you run FSX on rather high settings? You could try if lowering some make a change (especially traffic and autogen can have some significant impact). Alos you can try to change some FSX settings that can't be changed via the usual options panel, but directly in the FSX.cfg. There's an awesome guide on how to do that. The link to this guide can be found in one of the threads on the top of this forum, or here: http://forum.avsim.net/fsx_guide.pdf. It's quite a bit to read, but it sure is worth it! I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, but I hope it'll help you, otherwise there sure will be some other folks around here, who will know what can help you. Flo Florian
February 19, 201313 yr This can be better resolved in our Windows 8 Forum where members are posting all of their compatibility issues. The forum was created to post these types of issues.
