August 29, 200421 yr Hi allAfter an attack of the Sasser virus and crappy help from Dell who should have spotted the problem straight away when I told them the syptoms I (unecessarily!) reloaded windows, and had to reinstall FS9. Since then I've had no ATC voices. In the drop down menu to choose which voice you prefer there's nothing there, the menu is empty! I don't want to reinstall FS9 again, does anyone know a fix?ThanksBen
August 29, 200421 yr You may have lost the ncessary codec to make atc work. Do search here and at flightsim, and maybe even a goodle to get the proper software. I'm sure there are people who can give you more detail when they read this, but at least you will have a place to start.Sherm

August 29, 200421 yr Author I am not sure the above link will fix the problem, since it doesn't contain:imaadp32.acmmsadp32.acmMicrosoft PCM ConverterAn alternate method is provided in the Tips and Tricks subforum at the top of this forum. Seach for LOST ATC, NO ATC, NO VOICE. It is a bit more complicated with WinXP, then with Win98/ME. Microsoft doesn't provide any details for reinstall the codecs for WinXP.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
