I've recently switched to a new computer and made a late but necesarry transition from FS9 to FSX.

 

So far I own the NGX and I'm eyeing the 747.

 

I seem to remember reading that back in FS9 it could cause problems if one installed an older PMDG Product after a newer one because of conflicts with the PMDGoptions.dll .

So I just wanted to ask, if I will run into any trouble with my NGX if I buy and install the 747X now,

No, installation order within FSX is not as important as it was with FS9. You can install it in any order and nothing bad will happen.
