Hello!

 

I am running Windows 8 64bit and Prepar3D 1.4. I have read that TileProxy can work in Prepare3D using the Migration tool witch I have.

 

However I cannot install the TileProxy software, because during installation I get this error :

I have turned off UAC and I have disabled the check for signed drivers for Windows 8 via the Advanced boot menu. This is done before the installation after uninstalling many times.

Also tried with the Antivirus and Firewall turned off. However I always get this error.

 

Please, I would be pleased for any help.

Ok, I figured it out!

What was the issue? Maybe useful for others trying to get TP running with Win8 and/or P3D.

I was trying to run TP via the 'Start TileProxy' file, witch was giving me an error. Instead I start TP using the 'ProxyUser' file.

Excellent software. Just discovered it. It has gone unoticed for 4 years for me, but still is the best experience ever. My config: P3D+REX textures+Opus+TP+Scenery airports+good aicrafts and you don't want anything more. Hmm may you need night lighting. I am waiting for UTX to release their P3D version for that. Until then, I think I will be doing night flights with no TP used. You don't see much more than lighting in a night flight, so TP missing will not make such impact in night. This is the future of flight simulator scenery. What more realistic from seeing the real picture instead of a simulated view?
