November 28, 200421 yr Yeah, this is what I do, actually. I find it helps to maintain seperation if you set the simulator to show you the speed of the other AI traffic, and you can judge what your speed should be, to keep ahead of the other traffic, or to pull back and give it time to get off the runway. But this doesn't always work!I'll try that Traffic Toolbox though - I didn't know that existed. Where do I download that from - Avsim or MS?Thanks for the tips!
November 28, 200421 yr I just ignore the go around and land..that may not be realistic, but being told to "follow the ac on base, final or whatever" isn't either. I was not a tower controller {Atlanta Center}, but I beleive you would have to report an ac in sight before you would be told to follow it. Am I right, tower controllers? When you ignore and land, you'll be fussed at a bit, told to clear the runway, upon doing so, you'll be told to contact ground as usual and all is forgiven. I've listened on tower frequency and have yet to hear the ac I barged in front of sent around. JamesJ
November 28, 200421 yr I got the SDK from the Microsoft FS2004 website. I don't know if it is on Avsim or not.One other thing about the Traffic Toolbox, is that it gives you a few more options of what the sim will display for AI aircraft.Jim
