How is Ready for Pushback 747-200 ?

Hi Len. No argument here and of course you are entitled to your opinion; I just wanted to know what you were basing it on. Since you own both progams, you certainly are in a position to make a comparison whether I think that it is valid or not. As far as the PMDG 747-400 is concerned, we really won't know what it is like until it is released, although given PMDG's track record, I would certainly expect another high quality product. In my opinion, RFP's attraction is that fact that it is a representation of the original 747's technology of the late 60's and 70's. That's why it doesn't have a FMS, uses an INS which only has a 9 waypoint capability ( on long flights, just keeping that thing up to date is almost a fulltime job not to mention managing fuel and that sort of thing). My basis of comparsion would be with the PSS A340's; by comparison, the Airbus is almost a "pushbutton" aircraft but the contrast between the operating the two is a lot of the fun in the hobby, at least for me. I have a lot of affection for both. By the way, the VC in RFP is "clickable", although I admit that I seldom use it; I'm one of those who really don't care to use the VC unless I'm sightseeing and then I'm usually flying something very low and slow. So for me, the interior of the plane isn't a high priority. An other example of the "different strokes" diversity of Simming.Best Regards,Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpghttp://www.globecargo.org/images/VAA_Sen_captain.jpg

RFP V2 is a great aircraft. No one IMO should compare it with the 737 NG simply because these are very different type of aircraft. Even the 744 coming up is a very different bird with full FMC etc. I support RFP and say to anyone who loves the older 747 -200 to go out and get it, you will not find one better. For the PMDG 744, well we will just have to wait a little while and then you all can judge it correctly ;-)Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J.
