March 5, 201313 yr I really don't know exactly where to post this question but figured since it involved the NGX I would ask it here... So, I'm building a home cockpit based on the NGX. I have 3 monitors, one as primarily the forward view and 2 for different cockpit instruments. The PFD, NAV and Systems screens all run great on my 2 instrument monitors. I'm able to "Undock" them from either the 2D or Virtual cockpit views and move them to my other 2 monitors. Since the standby gauges and the flaps guage are not setup for separate windowed views, I created my own window views of these gauges in the panel.cfg file and now I'm able to open them in new windows, undock them and move the to the second or third monitor. The problem I'm having is once I change views on the primary monitor from 2D to VC(or to any other view for that matter), the gauges stop working. The windowed flaps gauge no longer moves in relation to the flaps setting and the standby gauges freeze. That is until I cycle back to the 2D cockpit view on the primary monitor. Is there any way to setup these gauges to display correctly even when cycling through other views? Hope this make sense! Thanks again! March 5, 201313 yr From the PMDG 737NGX Knowledge Base: The main 2D panel is corrupted when I open it with the VC view active This is a limitation of how our gauges communicate between their 2D versions and VC versions. You cannot have the main 2D panel open while also in the VC view. If you require the main 2D view, switch to it using the A and S view cycle keys or by using the the Views menu either at the top of the screen or via the right click context menu to select the "Cockpit" view, which is the main 2D panel. Do not use Shift+# keys to select 2D views in the NGX. Within the VC, we've provided numerous 2D popups for the DUs, the FMC CDUs, the MCP and so on - these are activated with mouse clickspots and are detailed in the Introduction manual.
