Works fine here Ron

All the best

...soon as you installed FSX set write and modify permissions for the Users Group on the FSX program folder and allow it to set subfolders. Once that's done install addons then.

Thanks Steve ,I  got  it to install, but the aircraft have no landing gear, and I can't get the engines started, and  some other features not working. I seem to recall there was an install sequence regarding service packs and feature packs. I've seen this landing gear problem with Captain sim products , and it seemed to have something to do with the " Trusted section " of the FSX.cfg  file.

I guess I'll have to soldier on , but any technical help would be appreciated.

Hi Ron,

Odd that. Sometimes I've fixed stuff by deleting the trusted lines and then let FSX fill them in as each gauge or dll is accepted to run first time. But I presume you just installed the iFly for the first time. You can try deleting the

autosave_800.RTE file in the

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\iFly\737NG

folder and try another flight. Let me know how that goes. Failing that you should be able to get help on the official Flight1 forum, they will know more about any issues arising than I do.

Later...

...I mean to say that I'm thinking your issues are not specific Win8 issues and have been found before perhaps. The only problems have been installers, if the product installs OK it should work.
