Triple monitor - eyeinfity or surround

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking for help in deciding which graphics card to upgrade to. My choices are the GTX 670 2gb, or the HD 7950 3gb. Or is it worth going for the next step up and go for GTX 680 2g or the HD 7970 3gb.

I have 3x22inch monitors running 1680 x 1050. I know FSX is more CPU bound but when running three screens I will need the card to go with a high processor.

I have the GTX 560Tii 2 gig with 3 monitors.  I get some blurries with the sliders maxed out but the framerates are good.

Thanks Gregg, I have two GTX 460s at the moment. Frame rates was good on a single monitor but now I have gone triple screen they have dropped down. If you get good frames with a 560 then the 670 should be ok.

Take a look at my pc specs

Thanks guys. Have gone mad and bought new parts so my pc specs will be;

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-D3H

Processor: I5 3570K (ready to be overclocked - I know the sandybridge overclocks better but this suits my purpose better)

Cooler: Enermax ETS-T40

GPU: Zotac GTX670 4gb

Memory: 12gb Corsair XM3 1600

Power: XFX Pro 850w

Case: Haf 932 Advance.

Hopefully once set up, overclocked and tweaked should run smoothly.
