navigation question

Featured Replies

Does someone know some examples for navigation.

I am looking for Vor navigation in north america or alaska or canada.

In the past I found some nice routes with the DC3 maam club but cannot find it anymore.

May be there are other routes who are nice to fly.

I bought recently the waco 5 and would like to fly with this one in nice routes.

Any idea is welcome.

You can browse through it, gelaning the information that you need OR... you can print the whole site and put it in a three-ring binder, like I did many, many years ago.

Are you looking for specific routes? or charts? you can get charts all over the place, just search on google.

No routes that I know of...

What I would do is use Skyvector... say you have Orbx PNW - enter a route in the Flight Plan box e.g.  KSEA KBLI CYPW.  Using the World Lo map, you could see what VORs are close to your route... and enter those in your FSX planner.

Or you could just let the FSX planner build you a "Low-altitude airways" route between two airports... either way the VORs w/ their freq. will be in the kneeboard.

Also, in FSX you can select VOR to VOR for your flight plan, and as Great Ozzie said, all the freq. will be on the kneeboard. you can also go to www.fltplan.com and look at their various charts available. Just enter the two airports, lets say KPDX-KSEA and it will show you a chart, or charts inbetween those airports with different layers to choose from and and all the necessary info you need. You could do (If you want VOR-VOR) the following:

KPDX PDX CBU BTG TCM SEA KSEA

Or for a jetway/victor routing you could do:

KPDX V23 KSEA
