March 23, 201313 yr I very recently switched to DX10 and have noticed some obvious gains in FPS and smoothness. I have not run into many issues yet but I did notice right away that the planes in FTX NA GA AI Traffic were not compatible.I read in the ORBX forums that this could be fixed by a product called Addon Converter X. Not being at all familiar about where the planes are stored in FSX, what they would be called and the formats etc. how would I go about successfully doing this? Is it best to just uninstall FTX NA GA AI Traffic if you are not familiar with those things or is it a lot easier than it seems. Thanks.
March 24, 201313 yr It's a lot easier than it seems. The utility can be found over at Flight1 - http://www.flightsimtools.com/adconvx/. You can run it in demo mode for ten minutes per FSX sessions. It does not change any textures permanently on your computer. It will modify the textures on the fly to make them compatible with DX10. Once you quit FSX, the textures are returned to their original state. It costs about $20. Many of the AI addons include AI aircraft made from FS9 and FS2004 days. FS9 is not compatible to DX10.
