Turbulence effects in FG 2.10?

Hello all,

 

Must say I am enjoying Flightgear immensely - easy to get into and the lighting / Rembrandt effects give flying a great atmosphere - excuse the pun.

 

I am finding it a little perplexing navigating the settings and options - I would like to switch on turbulence , I see from the wiki there is a setting to tweak it between 0.0 and 1.0 - has anyone been able to get this working in Windows version?

You have to manually set them by wind level in the weather menu. They are not automatically set by the parse of a METAR string for instance. They would have to be "guessed" and that is a true nightmare for a flightsim weather logic...
