March 29, 201313 yr Hi, I posted in the PMDG forum and will try here. I just did a clean install of Windows 7 64bit. Installed FS2004 and PMDG 747. My overhead panel buttons and switches flicker on and off one section of the panel at a time. All other panels are fine. I use a EVGA GTX 460 SC 1GB card. Have the latest drivers. March 29, 201313 yr Are you using full screen mode ? I recommend you use windowed mode to run FS9 as this prevents such issues which are video card associated. I also recommend you do the following... right click your FS9.exe icon and select properties. Then tick the boxes "Disable visual themes" ; "disable desktop composition"; and "run as administrator" Peter Peter Schluter
March 29, 201313 yr Author Using full screen. Went to windows view and it works fine but my frame rate drops real low. tried your recommendations and no joy in full screen. Would a newer vedio card help? I have a EVGA GTX 460 SC right now. Greg Moore KFMH https://forum.pmdg.com/filedata/fetch?id=127275&d=1622041469&type=thumb
March 30, 201313 yr The general advice is to run FS9 in windowed mode to avoid issue like this. It is a video card/windows7 issue. Changing your video card might or might not help. I doubt it will. Frame rate drops when in windowed mode? That seems odd. Is that after you have made the changes to the FS9.exe icon I suggested? What frame rates are you getting? Peter Peter Schluter
March 30, 201313 yr Author PMDG got back to me and told me to run in windows mode. When in windows mode my rate drops only a few frames but the graphics look worse. Guess I will live with the flickers. Greg Moore KFMH https://forum.pmdg.com/filedata/fetch?id=127275&d=1622041469&type=thumb
