March 29, 201313 yr Today after landing I had this failure active when I checked for active failures in the FMC under the Failures menu. I have Service Based Failures activated so I have made it into a habbit always checking for any failures before I start a new flight. Not sure exactly what this failure means and what could have caused it? Also I can't remember seeing anything abnormal during my last flight, no whistles or bells nor any warning lights so did I get this failure when sitting on the ground for a while after landing or won't this failure generate any warnings? Tried serching for this failure both in the QRH and also Googled it but didn't really find anything useful. Anyone else seen this or know a little bit more about it and willing to share the info/knowledge? Thanks in advance guys!
March 29, 201313 yr Commercial Member Anyone else seen this or know a little bit more about it and willing to share the info/knowledge? Looks kinda ambiguous to me. As the engine 2 bleed valve is an object, it's akin to it saying "R WING AILERON." All it's doing is listing an object. If it said bleed valve failure, that would mean something, but it seems as if there's some missing information (intentional, or not). Kyle Rodgers
March 29, 201313 yr Author Yeah I fully agree. Well...whatever it was it's cleared now and I hope all will be well on the return leg from EKCH-ESSA ^_^
March 29, 201313 yr Commercial Member Well...whatever it was it's cleared now and I hope all will be well on the return leg from EKCH-ESSA I could be completely and utterly wrong here, but if I remember correctly, the bleed valves require pressure to operate. If you shut the plane down and then hit the switch, the switch will not agree with the valve position. If you'd done this, it could've been indicating that condition. Otherwise, I'm at a loss... Glad it cleared - lykke til! Kyle Rodgers
March 29, 201313 yr Author I have my FS2Crew FO operating the bleed air switches so guess I'll have to ask him if he did anything unusual on last flight  Tack
March 29, 201313 yr Author Amazingly enough I'm now enroute to ESSA and noticed when I switched the wing anti-ice to ON the R VALVE OPEN light didn't dim and when I now check the failures menu I again have the same failure so appearently this message has to do with WAI. Guess I should be happy ESSA is reporting better weather than EKCH
