Hi, I run a EVGA GTX 460 SC card and get Shimmering tuxtures in FS2004. I turn down mip mapping to 4 and it mostly go's away. Do all nVidia cards do this? Would like to run it with a higher mip map setting.

I always had that as well, until the GTX680.  I also used a setting of 4.  With the 680, I have it cranked up and no shimmering to date.
