June 28, 200322 yr I don't know if you guys have seen this site http://www.michel-concorde.de/index.html but this guy has built several radio controlled airliners! that's just awesome! you can't even tell if they are real or scale when they're flying. Here are a few picshttp://www.michel-concorde.de/images/usairways02.jpghttp://www.michel-concorde.de/bilder/neu06.jpghttp://www.michel-concorde.de/images/conflug08.jpg :-eek!!Saludos :-waveGerardo Nava"Venezolano all the way"[p]"Flying isn't dangerous. June 28, 200322 yr nice,i wonder if it has real like jet sounds and takeoff and land like a real plane. I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
June 29, 200322 yr If i remember correctly, the guy who built the concorde also built a scale model of a ferrari car. Hand crafted every single piece in his workshop. When the engine was started it even sounded like the real thing! It was quite amazing. The concorde had 4 pulse jets (pre model turbines) which produced so much power, it needed 3 controllers to fly it! He could only fly it at certain areas, and required clearance from the local ATC. July 7, 200322 yr They're all turbine powered (they burn kerosene or Jet-A, depending on which one you have), so they're real jet engines.I've seen the A-330 fly and it's beautiful. It flies just like the real thing, and he's figured out how to get the thrust reversers to work accurately, but I'm not sure how/if he gets the thrust re-directed out the cascade ducting. There's also a guy with a Tornado that I saw fly and he's got the buckets working and it's VERY real reversing when he activates them. It's cool too because it sounds just like the real thing.
July 7, 200322 yr Good God! All i'd add now is a little camera in the cockpit of one of those 747s and have it transmit to a TV. There is your prefect sim! :D Fly in real time, real weather etc... Bulld a nicee concrete runway in my backyard with nice apprach lighting and look forward to retirement. Oh yeah!
