Please help with traffic addon

So... after returning to FSX and installing old addons and getting new...

I found that i have no traffic addon.

I have been reading about mytraffic professional, and it looks interesting: http://secure.simmarket.com/mytraffic-x-professional-5.4-b.phtml

I do believe though that some of the screenshots were not that pretty!

 

Are you going to watch a bunch of low quality aircrafts, or experience realistic traffic?

 

And what about performance, we all know that AI traffic is a FPS killer.

I have it (or actually the older 5.4a, because I was lazy installing any updates in the past months :rolleyes: ), and I like it. You're right, the models aren't that pretty, but then again I couldn't really care less, since all I want is traffic that seems somewhat realistic. By that I do not mean that the latest correct schedules as well as up to date company routes are used, all I want is to have aircraft and airlines which are at least likely to be seen at any given airport (i.e. I don't want to see an Austrian 737 or A320 at LAX, but I don't care if they operate T7s or 767s there IRL...). Another cool feature  of MTX is that it has military traffic, and it's not only based on the usual western types, but also the Russian ones like Tupolevs, Antonovs etc, and not only the "big iron", but down to little GA aircraft.

Performance-wise, I can only say that it's totally OK on my computer at settings betwwen 30 and 40%, which btw is the author's recommended range, because everything exceeding about that can give some odd things like regional planes at airports on the other side of the world, just to get the larger airports filled. (The author explains that in the manaul, saying that people complained about major hubs seeming to be empty) Please note, that this seems to depend on your system, because there are others who say that MTX gives them aweful performance.
