April 17, 201313 yr I've tried:-ctrl+E-brought up the panel and click the eng start switches-brought up the throttles into view and the mixture levers are moving ok for start when ctrl+E.-Engines just turnover/ chug. -Tried create a new flt on active runway and the engines will stallout and not restart. -Uninstalled and re-installed the Aerostar; no-go. - Used the FSD DataTest.exe and it found nothing wrong. -Selected different aircraft, including other FSD aircraft I own and they all start fine. So I figure I'm just not "engine start qualified" on the Aerostar.Any tips you folks can give appreciated.I'm unable to ask at their(FSD) forums;can't find the link anymore at their site for the support forum.jimb dual boot: win8.1pro64bit (primary) | win10pro64bit | mobo: MSI Prestige x570 Creation | cpu and cooler: AMD 5950X; Noctua NH-U12A | ram: 4each 8gb sticks of ddr4-3200 CORSAIR Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16 | gpu: nvidia RTX2070Super Founders Edition| lcd: LG 24" 4k, LG 24UD58-B
April 17, 201313 yr There is still a support link there but as you say the forum has gone now. I don't think anyone was using it for a very long time. Have you used the manual? I also have had your problem with thier Piper Cheyenne 400 from time to time. Is it running when you first load it and after a few seconds the engines quit. Try setting up a stock Cessna 172 with the engine running and just call it Cessna 172 test flight. Sometimes it works fine and at other times not You can make request for advice on thier site b ut I did not find that very helpful. Don't give up on it if If I come upwith a good answer I will post it,.............John http://www.fsd-international.com/support/index.htm
April 17, 201313 yr Author "Is it running when you first load it and after a few seconds the engines quit." Yes, if I start a flt on the active the eng's are running then they shutoff. If I start a flt on the parking apron the eng's won't start. "Try setting up a stock Cessna 172 with the engine running and just call it Cessna 172 test flight" I created a new flt with the fs9 172, got up to 9000' and saved the flt. Exited FS9. Edited the flt as: [Plane.0]Aircraft=Aerostar Default Paint Scheme Hi Resolution Start fs9, load that flt. The engines start cutting off then auto-restart in a loop. Exited fs9. restarted fs9. Loaded that same edited flt and this time engines worked. Landed at TIW, taxi to parking, shutoff engines, re-started with ctrl+e, and both engines fired up fine. Loaded FSD Flt Cold & Dark. Both engines fired up fine.Taxi clearance, takeoff was great. Wow, this FSD Aerostar is a pure-t rocket. What ever caused this for me is a mystery; but your steps cleared it up. Thank you Tinhead59, jimb Oh, I did send an inquiry to FSD through their message system as you suggested. Hopefully they will point out what it was that caused it.jimb dual boot: win8.1pro64bit (primary) | win10pro64bit | mobo: MSI Prestige x570 Creation | cpu and cooler: AMD 5950X; Noctua NH-U12A | ram: 4each 8gb sticks of ddr4-3200 CORSAIR Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16 | gpu: nvidia RTX2070Super Founders Edition| lcd: LG 24" 4k, LG 24UD58-B
April 18, 201313 yr It may be unrelated, but I have had a similar problem with some other addons and ended up having to reinstall them. No idea what caused it but I just could not get the engines to start or keep running until a fresh install and they went back to working fine. Might be worth a try Ian
